State Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan appears to be developing their drone operating regulations and aim to be aligned to the European Drone regulations.

The second steering committee meeting in the frame of “Eastern Partnership and Central Asian countries assistance and support project in civil aviation”(EASA / EaP) was organized on July 18, 2017, in Kiev. During the discussions, special attention was paid to the exchange of information and sharing best practices between the participants in the field of adaptation of European regulations with the national legislation of the states, regulations allowing operation of Western and Eastern type of aircraft, development of rules for oversight of operations and registration of unmanned aircraft systems ("drones"), and also correction of findings revealed in the frame of ICAO Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program.
