La Direction de l’Aviation Civile (DAC)

Permission is required for recreational and commercial drone operators to fly in Luxembourg.

From 18 November 2019:

  • Every operator of an unmanned aircraft, whether private or commercial, will still require an authorization from the DAC, either a generic or a specific one depending on criteria such as the maximum weight of the unmanned aircraft as well as the height, location and time of the intended operation.
  • Every application for authorization must be made by means of the updated form ADM310-1. (incomplete applications will be rejected).
  • No-fly-zones:  the map of the protected zones in which a specific authorization is always required.
